Gauged Bluestone Tile
Tompkins Bluestone is proud to offer a machine-calibrated bluestone tile in a variety of colors. Sizes available from 6″ up to 36″, thickness 3/8″ and up. Tolerances within a 1/16″. Can be used for indoor floors, pavers for pedestal systems, panels, etc. Available in 6 finishes.

Accelerated Aged Bluestone
Nature cleft stone is used to replicate the look of a time-worn stone. Using an innovative process, newly quarried stone is made to match existing stone applications.
Custom Fabrication
If we have the available capacity on our equipment we can also assist in the fabrication of stone, other than bluestone, supplied by the customer.
Restoration
This is a large part of our business. We understand how important it is to match existing stonework. Using samples, pictures and experience we duplicate original stone details by matching edges, finishes and colors of stone.
Natural Cleft
Natural Cleft refers to the texture of the stone. When stone is split on a natural seam or bedding plain it produces a surface which has a more rustic, rough and colorful appearance.
Sawn
Sawn material is sliced out of a block of solid stone. Stone that has been sawn has a more uniform color and texture than that of natural cleft. We offer domestic (in full color or blue Equinunk) and imported (blue lake color) sawn stone in pattern, tread, and/or coping products. Finishes available are thermal, honed, polished, brushed, or sawn. We also offer multiple finishes for edging, including rockface, bullnose, eased, beveled, and more!
Fieldstone and Quarry Run
Our fieldstone and quarry run products are gathered in Delaware County, New York and Wayne County, Pennsylvania.
Fieldstone is reclaimed stone from old walls made by farmers as they cleared their fields.
Quarry run is a by-product from quarrying operations dating as far back as the late 1800’s.
Both fieldstone and quarry run are suitable for building rustic walls, veneering, steps, pathways, coping, etc.
Regular Fieldstone – 1″- 5″ Thick. Dry stack
Veneer Fieldstone – Solid facing material 3″ – 5″ thick mosaic veneer.
Select Thin Veneer – 3/4″ to 1/4″ mosaic fieldstone solid pieces. Sizes range from hand size to about 18′ x 18′ for mosaic facing veneer 3/4″ to 1-1/4″ thick.
Steppers ( Garden Path ) – Walkable surface 1 – 1/2″ – 5″ thick – 12″ x 8″. Up to 3′ one way.
Heavy Fieldstone – 5″ thick up to as large as one man can handle. Dry stack.
3′ Steppers – 3′ or larger one direction 2″ – 6″ thick. Walkable surface.
Coping – Fieldstone coping, 3″ – 5″ thick, Natural Edge 12 x 18 up to 3′ one way
Waterfall Stones, Thick – Flat fieldstone boulders, 10″ and over thick, 2′ – 3′ up and can weigh up to approximately 3 tons.
2′ x 4′ Steps – 5″ – 9″ thick, 18″ – 36″ wide. Has oen long exposed edge and a walkable surface, 45″ and longer.
One Man Landscape Boulders – Fieldstone boulders from football size up to as large as one man can handle.
Medium Cobbles – Orange to softball size fieldstone with some flat, some round, some oval. with sides ranging from 3″ – 5″.
Large Cobbles – Cantaloupe to football size solid fieldstone. Some flat, some round, and some oval with sides raging from 3″ – 5″.
Veneer
A veneer is used to give the look of a solid stone by applying a thin layer of stone. There are a variety of edges and bed depth options in this category. Edges can be snapped and corrected, rock-faced, thermal, honed, natural, and hydro-split.
Crushed Stone
Crushed Stone is sold by the ton. Blue to green color range compliments bluestone patios and walks. Sizes ranging from 3/8″ – 3″.
